The Flavour

Like most good band origin stories, and most jokes involving priests and Irishmen, it all began in a bar. A drummer sees something in a solo artist that piques his interest and magically – it all comes together. With Franti and Sublime hardwired into their brains, the group that would become The Flavour developed a uniquely Australian take on reggae and funk.

It’s simply what occurred when The Flavour started jamming. Perhaps it’s got something to do with their surroundings, these guys can’t help but sound like the Sydney beaches they were raised on. The sun worship, undulating waves and of course, the hard bodies and bruising parties are as much inspirations on The Flavour’s repertoire as the tunes on their playlists.

The Chronics

Formed in 2003 by brother’s Julian and Greg Townley the Chronics have carved out a faithful following on Sydney’s pub circuit with a sound that firmly reflects their roots on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

Together the four-piece have melded some of the spirit of their influences with their own unique vigour and humour to create memorable music that never fails to get their audiences on the dance floor. The chugging bass and drum lines of the rhythm section underscore strong guitar melodies and the insightful lyrics of front-man Greg Townley who uses everyday experiences as the inspiration for his musings on relationships and life in general.
